The 2024 ASBP Award winners

The winners of the 2024 ASBP Awards have been announced. Now in their sixth year, the awards highlight projects, products and initiatives that excel when assessed against six pillars of sustainable construction: Health & Well-being, Resource Efficiency, Whole Life Carbon, Ethics and Transparency, Technical Performance, and Social Value.

The ceremony, which took place at the ASBP Healthy Buildings Conference & Expo in London on 29th February, also saw the presentation of the inaugural Neil May Award, established to honour the legacy of the late Neil May MBE. It was awarded to conservation expert Richard Oxley – described as one of Neil May’s “musketeers” – in recognition of his many contributions to sustainable building.

In the Projects category, a joyful Passivhaus play café, a secondary school that brings together high-performance new build with a sympathetic retrofit of industrial heritage buildings, and a radical repurposing of a Grade II listed a former fire station, all won recognition.
