UKIEG Conference 2022 – re-thinking definitions of indoor environmental quality

UKIEG logoThis month the annual UKIEG conference brought together a multidisciplinary audience of academics, policy makers and industry experts to ask – what makes indoor environments beneficial for health and wellbeing? SDF Director Jon Bootland sat on the conference steering group and also chaired an afternoon session.

The programme included Prof Rajat Gupta of Oxford Brookes University on the monitoring of indoor environments in retrofit, Dr Jo Hale speaking about her work with Prof Susan Michie at UCL on understanding behaviour in home energy efficiency systems, and Paul Chatwin from Cundall addressing the consideration of indoor air quality at the construction stage.

The UK Indoor Environments Group (UKIEG) was launched in 2003, with the aim to co-ordinate and provide a focus for UK activity concerned with improving indoor environments for people.
