The Sustainable Development Foundation (SDF) is pleased to announce its partnership with Futurebuild for the 2026 edition of the event, a milestone year that will see Futurebuild and UK Construction Week London co-locate to create the UK’s largest built environment gathering.
Taking place from 12 – 14 May 2026 at ExceL London, the combined event will bring together the sector’s leading organisations, innovators and thought leaders under one roof. More than 25,000 professionals, 600+ exhibitors and 700+ speakers are expected across 10 dedicated stages, making it the most comprehensive construction event in the UK calendar.
The SDF Alliance at Futurebuild 2026
Across the three days, the SDF Alliance – comprising SDF, the Alliance for Sustainable Building Products (ASBP), the Good Homes Alliance (GHA), the Passivhaus Trust (PHT), the National Retrofit Hub (NRH) and the Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance (STBA) – will curate a programme of seminars on the Buildings and Materials Stage.
On day one, SDF and its partners will lead sessions exploring the regenerative built environment and healthy buildings. On subsequent days, partner organisations will address circular and regenerative materials, retrofit strategies and supply chain innovation, all under the central theme: regenerative places, buildings and products.
All sessions form part of Futurebuild’s Knowledge Programme and sit within the overarching theme of Regenerative, Re-use, Resilience. The focus is clear: move beyond net zero towards approaches that restore ecosystems, strengthen communities and create long-term value. While united by this ambition, each session is designed to stand alone, offering practical, actionable insight.

A collective shift towards regeneration
This partnership with Futurebuild reflects SDF’s commitment to championing best practice and accelerating measurable progress across the built environment. By convening its alliance members within the wider Futurebuild and UK Construction Week London community, SDF aims to support a sector-wide shift towards high-performance, low-carbon and socially responsible places.
“Futurebuild 2026 brings the industry together at a scale that allows us to turn ambition into measurable progress.
